Multi-Genre Project

After a great deal of thought and much vasillation (is that a word….) I think that I have finally settled on a topic for my multi-genre project.  I thought that I would do my project on Mr. Popper’s Penguins.  (fabulous read.  A winter must)  I carefully went through the book and came up with a minimum of 10 genres that I could use for my project.   But when I went to look for the  extra stuff that would make my project pop, I became disgusted.  I could not find anything that I really liked.  As I stood in AC Moore, wondering where to go next with this project, my cousin jokingly suggested Elvis because there was a great deal of stickers available.  We laughed about it and I said well I think that I just need to think some more.  Well long story short: everywhere I have gone since Saturday Elvis was there in some way shape or form.  I thought that I could escape Elvis in my classroom.  No such luck.  My students were crowded around a biography about none other than Elvis himself.  So, I will be doing my multi-genre project on the King…Elvis that is.   Ok, as I type this I am changing the channels and there he is on UNC TV.  Incredible. (or Spooky…)
